The story
Between the end of September 2024, to the beginning of October 2024, a charity stream was held on Kugel’s channel, in order to raise money for Ruck 4 Rugrats. This event is run by a Veterans Organization called 5th Squad, located in Jackson Mississippi. The event put on by 5th Squad requires the participants to load toys in their back packs, and then, march in a group for 4.5 miles to the local children’s hospital in Jackson Mississippi, Blair E. Batson’s Children's Hospital.
The purpose of the event on Kugel’s channel had two missions.
1.Donate all money that was raised during the stream. To include:
a.Bits
b.Subscriptions
c.Donations
d.Advertisement revenue
2.Bring awareness to the organization 5th Squad and the Ruck 4 Rugrats charity event.
During the stream on Kugel’s Channel, various streamers within Kugel’s “BlitzFam” community, donated their time and talents, in order to raise money for the Ruck 4 Rugrats event. The money was then going to be used to buy toys that members of the 5th Squad Ruck 4 Rugrats participants would use during the march.
A total of $640 was raised during the stream.
Kugel made it clear that due to tax law within the United Kingdom, and due in part to his current medical status, he would have to pay roughly $200 in taxes once the money was sent from Twitch to his bank account. Once the money was sent to Kugel, he then sent $600 to Sp3ctr7 via PayPal. Both Sp3ctr7 and Kugel agreed that Sp3ctr7 should be in charge of buying the toys, and having access to the raised money, because he was going to be one of the participants in the Ruck 4 Rugrats event, and the toys would be delivered to his home.
In October of 2024, Sp3ctr7 left the BlitzFam discord, as well as severed all ties with KugelBlitz and the “BlitzFam” community. At that time, Sp3ctr7 sent the $600 back to KugelBlitz via PayPal. The returned money could be seen during KugelBlitz’s Twitch stream as a donation at the bottom of the screen.
The money was returned to KugelBlitz for three reasons:
1.The money was raised by the “BlitzFam” community, and they should be the ones that would dictate what toys should be bought for the event.
2.Sp3ctr7 did not want to have his name be slandered and rumors spread that he kept the money.
3.Trust between Sp3ctr7 and KugelBlitz indicated that KugelBlitz would not keep the money and would instead use the money for its intended purpose, either through the purchase of toys for the Ruck 4 Rugrats event, or as a straight donation to the 5th Squad Organization.
On February of 2025, KugelBlitz made mention during one of his streams that he raised money for a charity event where toys were given to children in the hospital over Christmas. He then also stated that it was a veterans organization and that “someone who was a close friend” told him about it. When pressed by the viewers in his stream, he stated that the organization was called 5th Squad.
Guardian31b, the mentioned “close friend” and veteran who told KugelBlitz about the charity, contacted the CFO of 5th Squad in order to confirm if KugelBlitz in fact sent the money to 5th Squad. There were no toys that were sent to sp3ctr7’s house, so the only other option for the money would have been to be sent directly to 5th Squad.
The CFO of 5th Squad, Ronnie Hood, informed Guardian31b through text message;
“I don’t see anything close to that amount in any account going back to October 18th. Not sure I’d put the guy on blast or anything but I’d ask him where/when he sent it.”
